NIOS On-demand Examination (ODE) The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) introduced the concept of On Demand Examination (ODE) at the secondary level in 2003. This innovative approach to exams brings flexibility to open and distance learning. It allows students to take exams at their own pace, independent of any time constraints, based on their preparation and readiness.
The fundamental idea behind ODE is that NIOS conducts exams only when students feel adequately prepared. After the successful implementation of On Demand Examination (ODE) at the secondary level, the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) reintroduced it in 2005. In October 2007, NIOS extended the on-demand examination to the senior secondary level as well.
Currently, NIOS ODEs are conducted at NIOS Headquarters, Regional Centers, and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) Centers for both secondary and senior secondary levels.
Students who have attempted the 10th or 12th examinations from any recognized board but did not pass have the option to apply for the On Demand Exam. This opportunity allows candidates to save a precious academic year by appearing for the exam when they feel mentally prepared.
The NIOS On Demand Exam 2022 offers a chance for these students to progress in their studies at their own pace and convenience.
